The Fabrics of Outa Ware

Outa Ware uses only the highest quality outdoor fabrics.  The following is the current list of the high-quality fabrics used in the OUTA WARE clothing line:

SUPPLEX - This nylon fabric made by Burlington Industries (USA) feels similar to cotton but behaves only like nylon can. It is wind and water resistant, lightweight, colorfast, easy-care and dries quickly.

POWDERHORN - SUPPLEX nylon with a durable water repellent (DWR) solution applied to the fibers before the fabric is woven for a long lasting water resistant finish.  

STORMCHEK - A urethane coated  Powderhorn SUPPLEX nylon with the DWR finish to make it the most water and wind resistant fabric available.   This fabric dries super quick but is not very breathable.

MICROFIBER - A polyester that offers more comfort and breathability then the Supplex fabrics above. The Microfiber does not repel water as well as Supplex.

DRY X -A rugged 70 Denier Nylon with a micro-porous waterproof & breathable coating. It's waterproof to 3000 mm of hydrostatic pressure and breathable to 3000 grams of 24 hour moisture vapor transmission.  Available in black and red.
                                                   

FULL COUNT ULTREX- A fabric similar to DRY-X but made by Burlington Industries in the USA. Available in Evergreen.

2 Ply GORE-TEX- A "top of the line" light weight breathable waterproof fabric made by Gore.  These fabrics are significantly lighter than both the ULTREX and DRY-X and therefore are more breathable, but a little less durable. Available in Hunter Green and Navy Blue.

3 Ply GORE-TEX- A "top of the line" light weight waterproof  breathable fabric made by Gore  which does not need a liner.  Ideal for ultra light backpacking, rain, and ski clothing.  Available in Olive Green.

3 Ply waterproof fabric -A light weight waterproof, windproof and breathable fabric which does not need a liner.  Ideal for ultra light backpacking, rain, and ski clothing.  Available in Grey. 

MAGNUM 1 - This 600 denier, urethane coated polyester made by Brookwood Roll Goods (USA) offers the maximum in abrasion resistance, ball bursting strength and has a DWR finish.  Available in red, black, forest green, yellow, royal blue, navy blue, orange, grey, pink, and camouflage

MICRO FLEECE - This fleece wicks moisture off your body and is the thinnest and lightest fleece available.  Available in black.

Medium (200) weight Fleece - The standard weight fleece for most garments. It's a double sided velour fleece that offers excellent insulation.

Mesh Backed WINDBLOCk Velour - 100 weight fleece with a wind block barrier laminated between the fleece and mesh.

Soft Shell fabric - A waterproof, windproof and breathable fabric with a fleece liner and smooth outer finish.  Available in harvest gold, lichen green, and grey.

Gore Windstopper - A light weight and very thin windstopper fleece which offers great wind block and breathability.  Available in black and shiraz burgundy.

Double sided Velour WINDBLOCk -  2 layers of 100 weight fleece laminated together for cozy and thick garment. Available in black and royal blue.

YKK URTEX Zippers- A highly water/ wind resistant zipper with the zipper teeth located on the inside.

Portal Hole Mesh- A polyester mesh that is soft and supple yet very tough.

Seam Grip- A silicone based sealer made by McNett Corporation.  Seam grip seals the seams and glues the stitching to create a bomber strong seam.
